This morning I was up early and out the door to my Weight Watcher meeting. I weighed in 1 lb down - yahoo! Now I am sure part of that is due to my BL 30 Day Jump Start week, but, I'll take it. After the meeting I quickly headed over to the Farmer's Market to beat the crowd. All weekend long they are having Fiesta Days going on and it gets pretty crazy busy. I scored some awesome things at the market.
Organic, free range eggs:
Super cute mini yellow squash and zucchini:
Blueberries:
Apricots and peaches ~ they said nectarines are next week - I can't wait!!!
Two types of cherries - Rainier and Red - YUM!!!
On my way home I stopped by Old Navy and it was INSANE. It reminded me of shoppers trying to get the after Thanksgiving Day sales - people were waiting in line 30 minutes to buy their $1 flipflops (that are normally only $2.50) - so crazy. So, I passed on this round of getting flip flops - maybe I'll look at another store later, but, it just wasn't worth it to me.
When I got back home I made up a great 5 WWP breakfast using my farmer's market finds. I pulled out 2 waffles from the freezer that I made at Easter. Topped them with 1 container of TJ's fat free bluberry greek yogurt, a handful of blueberries, one white peach sliced up and a sprinkle of unsweetened organic coconut.
I also stole a bite of The Husband's HOLEY Donuts JUMBO Reduced Fat Cinnamon Roll ~ OMG - so amazing! This roll is worth every calorie - 340 calories and 7 WWPs and measures 6 inches (1/2 a foot!) across - we measured for fun! It's BIG and delicious and way less calories/points than any Cinnabun you will find.
Today we are busy working on house projects - we are clearing out the rest of the concrete in driveway to have it redone - yeah! Plus, little things and running errands before we head out to our friends house for a poker tournament tonight.

Have a great Saturday all! I am off to go load the truck up with old concrete ~ Maybe that can be my workout today....LOL.
Danica,
ReplyDeleteIs the roll 7 points for the whole roll??
Jane ~ Yes, that is for the entire roll!

That market produce looks great! And that cinnamon roll looks delicious! yum!
ReplyDeleteLooking at the fresh veggies, I want to go to the farmers market too! The cinnamon roll looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those crazy shoppers! :P It was madness, though ours flip flops are $1 Canadian, and normally $5 Canadian, so more of a "deal"! And I bought $8 pairs, one for each of my kids, my sister and her kids, so made it a bit more worthwhile!
ReplyDeleteYour mini yellow squash reminded me of gourds LOL!
ReplyDeleteHealth, happiness, hope ~ I totally agree - I LOVE farmer's markets and go to as many as I can find.
ReplyDeleteJenny ~ OMG - it was crazy to have that kind of a crowd for $1 flip flops - they were not even the fancy kind. I pondered it for 1 minute and then was like um, no thanks.
Anne ~ The cinnamon roll rocks - I think it's one of my favorite Holey Donuts.
Priyanka ~ I LOVE supporting local farmers and I feel like the food tastes so much better at the farmer's market :)
Niki ~ You are a total trooper but with good cause. Look at all you had to buy them for and it was a way better deal!
Marybe~ That's funny - it does sort of.
Wow, that looks like some fantabulous produce! Delish! ;-) I love farmers markets! Yay for you for getting all that healthy stuff.
ReplyDeleteHealthy blessings,
Michele
